From the beginning to folio [22/b] and from folio [99/b] to the end, it was written in a usual handwriting different from the rest of the copy. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

Chapter on the return of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, from the Ahzab and his exit to the Banu Qurayza and his besiegement by them. Abdullah told me... ...that to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he said, “Eat the sustenance that God has provided and feed us if you have it.” Some of them came to it and ate it.
