It is heavy with comments and footnotes in the margin. \| The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.
Sample Text	It begins during the book of interpretation, in the interpretation of Surat Maryam from the beginning of the hadith of the chapter {And we do not descend except by the command of your Lord. To Him belongs what is before us and what is behind us}, and the beginning of it: “I heard my father on the authority of Saeed bin Jabr on the authority of Ibn Abbas, who said that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said to Gabriel: What prevents you from visiting us more... ... It ends with the chapter: If he yawns, let him put his hand over his mouth.
