It contains the author's division of his book. - The script is different. - The other is missing. - It contains comments. - It contains corrections. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

وقَفَ للهِ تَعالى المرْحوم عيسى أَفَنْدي على طلبة العلم بِالجامِعِ الأزْهرِ وجعَلَ مقَرَّه بالخِزانة الّتي بالعمارة الجديدة، وشرط أن لا يوهب ولا يُرهَن {فمن بدله بعد ما سمعه فإنما إثمه على الذين يبدلونه إن الله سميع عليم}.
