The volume is internally divided into four parts: On folio (65/b) the first skin was completed at noon on Saturday, the last ten days of Jumada al-Thani, in the year nine hundred AH. And on folio (103/B), a quarter of the pledges of allegiance were completed in the middle of the month of Safar, may God seal it with goodness and victory in the year nine hundred AH. And on folio (125/A) the first volume of the book Al-Jami’ al-Sahih was completed on Saturday in Shawwal in the year of the Hijri (and the year was not written). The volume began. With an index of what is in the book from beginning to end, he wrote down the number of hadiths that were judged to be authentic and collected by Imam Al-Bukhari in his Sahih, seven thousand two hundred and seventy-five hadiths. | Date of death of the copyist: 933 AH. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.
