It has sober comments and very sober sayings in its footnotes, and I was amazed by its freshness, especially in some places, as in Folio No. (1338) when Al-Mahshi elaborated on the saying of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, “Do not follow my nickname.” It should be noted that the writer of the footnotes is a scholar and has many manuscripts of this blessed text in his hands, and for this matter there are many clues, such as when he says in the footnotes: In the copies of the text that are in my hands. It also reviews the differences between the versions, despite the fact that the copy is late. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.
