He collected the introduction in the year thirteen and began explaining it in the beginning of the year seventeen, and praise be to God.”

Praise be to God who has enlightened the hearts of the people of Islam with guidance and poked the hearts of the people of tyranny so that they will never realize wisdom... Now that I have begun what I intended of explaining Al-Jami’ Al-Sahih according to what I promised at the beginning of the introduction... I named it Al-Bari for Al-Bukhari’s explanation. ...Chapter: Night prayer... The first part was completed with the praise, help and success of God... It will be followed, God willing, by the second part, chapters on the description of prayer.
