This is the book of the text of al-Jami` al-Sahih, divided into thirty parts. The colophon data were taken from the thirtieth part to match all of them. | Date of death of the copyist: 1258 | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

Chapter on pictures... Chapter on the veil... On the authority of Aisha, that the wives of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to go out at night when they defecated to the places, which is a clearer place. Omar used to say to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, “Hijab your wives,” but the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, did not do so. So Sawda bint Zam’ah, the wife of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, went out one night at dinner, and she was a tall woman. So Omar called to her, “Sawda, we have recognized you, eager for the veil to come down.” So God revealed the verse about the hijab.
