The author of the book, Maher Taher Ismail Al-Barzanji, said about the time of writing the book: None of the authors of biographies and classes mentioned the time in which Ibn Malik wrote his book Mubariq al-Azhar, but he wrote it in the eighth century, and perhaps he wrote it before the middle of it, and God knows best.

Praise be to God for the gift of guidance and Islam... And then the weak one says... Abd al-Latif bin Abd al-Aziz, known as Ibn Malik... When he clarified the aspects of the meanings and the correct consideration of the outcome, the highest knowledge came to be a beacon and attainable and the most sublime of it was merit and beauty... And among the best of it is the knowledge of hadith... And from among what was compiled in it... The Book of Mashariq Al-Anwar...... Anas, may God Almighty be pleased with him, narrated on his authority, that a Muslim narrated on his authority Labbaik Umrah and Hajj in the accusative case, i.e., one seeking Umrah, or by removing the lower case, i.e. This Umrah indicates that he, peace be upon him, was a Qiran... Praise be to God for its completion, and to His Messenger, the best of peace, and to his honorable family and companions, until the Day of Judgment and Resurrection.
