The copy contains valuable benefits and quotes. - It contains comments. - It contains corrections. - It was found on the copy’s copy: “It began in the books of this Sahih on the last day of the birth of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in Rabi’ al-Awwal.” | Date of death of the copyist: 1200 AH. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

يقولُ محمَّدُ بنُ عمرَ الكيلانيُّ الأزهريُّ واقفُ هذا «الصَّحيحِ»: أروى هذا «الصَّحيحَ» عنْ علماء أجلَّاء منهم شيخي السيِّدُ محمَّدٌ المرتضى الزبيديُّ نزيلُ مصرَ القاهرة، فإنَّه حدَّثني بحديثِ «إنَّمَا الأعْمَالُ باِلنِّيَّاتِ» من حفظِه وأنا أسمعُ إلى أنْ بلَغَ إلى المؤلِّفِ، وأجازَني بباقيه، ومنهم شيخي الشيخُ محمَّدٌ الشنواني المصريُّ من أوَّلِ الصحيح إلى كتاب: الصَّلاة، روايةً ودرايةً، وأجازَني بباقيه، ومنهم شيخي العلَّامةُ الشيخُ عبدُ الرَّحمنِ النحراويُّ المقري المصريُّ، أجازَني بجميعِه، ومنهم شيخي السيِّدُ محمَّدٌ البخاري نزيلُ مصر القاهرةِ، فقد أجازَني به جميعِه، ومنهم شيخي الشيخُ أحمدُ الدِّمشقيُّ الشهيرُ بالعطَّارِ، فقدْ أجازَني به جميعَه، وكلا من هؤلاءِ سندُهم عندي إلى المؤلِّف البُخاريِّ رضِيَ اللهُ عنه وعنهم.
