Notes
A huge book on thick paper, in beautiful Levantine script, in which the annotations were written in red, with corrections and red herrings in its margins. The copy was in the possession of Abd al-Fattah ibn Abd al-Jabbar al-Madhkar in the state of Rum Eli in the early Rajab of 946 in Constantinople, before it reached Zawiya al-Ayyashiyah. Copies of the book are in the Royal Treasury in Rabat bearing the numbers: 538 – 659 – 3041 – 3613 – 3676 – 6139 – 8485 – 11155 – 11157 – 13895. | The date of completion of the composition was confirmed from the Yozgat Library within Sulaymaniyah under the number (107).

.. Praise be to God for what is widespread in His blessings, and which is limited to explanation and understanding... As for what follows: In this dictation, I intended to clarify what occurred in the Sahih of Imam Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Ismail Al-Bukhari regarding strange pronunciation or ambiguous parsing... And I ask God, the Generous and Benevolent, to make the reward for this book acceptance and satisfaction, pardon, consequence, and forgiveness, and that the reader and writer, and the one who returns to it when he has problems, be imbued with it by His grace and generosity. There is no Lord other than Him, and there is no deity other than Him... We are sufficient, and He is the best disposer of affairs, and there is no power or strength except in God, the Most High, the Great, and it was the end of his comment...
