Praise be to God, the Creator, the Creator, the Creator, the Giver, the Conqueror, the Sustainer, the One who initiates blessings before they are due, and I pray for His Messenger whom He sent to complete the noble morals and His grace over all created beings in all... As for what follows, know that the book Al-Jami’ Al-Sahih by the one great Imam, the presenter of the hadith scholars, Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Ismail Ibn Ibrahim Al-Bukhari, may God have mercy on him, is one of the greatest books compiled in Islam and the most beneficial, except that the hadiths repeated in it are scattered in chapters, and if a person wants to look at the hadith. In any chapter, one can hardly be guided to it except after effort. Al-Bukhari’s intention, may God have mercy on him, was the many paths of the hadith and its fame. Our intention is to take the origin of the hadith because he knew that everything in it is authentic... and I named this blessed book the clear abstraction of the hadiths of the authentic collection... ...on the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, who said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: “Two words beloved to the Most Merciful, light on the tongue and heavy in the scale: Glory be to God and praise, Glory be to God the Great” and may God bless him and grant him peace. May peace be upon our master Muhammad and his family and companions, and praise be to God, Lord of the worlds.
