Chapter on the virtues of the Ansar, the virtues, is plural of manqaba with the opening of the meem, as in al-Mukhtar, and it is borrowed for the noble verb, “and those who have lived in the abode and the faith,” that is, they adhered to them and were able in them... ... A chapter by mentioning how many times the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, fought... On the authority of Ibn Buraidah Abdullah, on the authority of his father Buraidah bin Khasab, with the neglected dammah and fatha al-sad, that he said: He fought with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, sixteen battles... It was completed.
