Hisham bin Ammar bin Nusayr bin Maysara bin Aban al-Dimashqi Abu al-Walid died in the year two hundred and forty-five. Al-Bukhari, Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah, and al-Nasa’i narrated from him, mentioning what we found in agreement with his hadiths, may God have mercy on him. Abu Jaafar told us, Muhammad bin Ahmad bin Nasr bin Abi al-Fath al-Saylani told us.... ...he said that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was performing ablution in a knot, with some of the knot in it, and he intertwined his beard with his fingers. He narrated it. Ibn Majah, on the authority of Asham. Finally, God bless him.
