The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

Tell me all the comprehensive, authentic, and concise summary of the affairs of our Master, the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, his Sunnahs, and his days...Chapter: How was the beginning of the revelation to the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and the words of God Almighty: “Indeed, We have revealed to you just as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him”...Chapter: Washing and ablution in a bowl, bowl, wood, and stones...Abu Al-Yaman told us, he said:...Aisha said: When the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, became heavy. And his pain became severe. He asked his wives for permission to be sick in my house, and they granted him permission... After he entered his house and his pain became severe, he said: “Sprinkle on me some of the seven waterskins whose sacks have not been loosened, so that I may be entrusted to the people.”
