The copy has comments in the margin, and has unclear seals, as well as an obliterated stop. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

“Chapter on imitating the actions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. Abu Nu’aym told us, Sufin told us.... on the authority of Ibn Umar... he said, the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, took a gold ring, so the people took gold rings. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “I took a gold ring, and I discarded it. I will never wear it, so the people discarded their rings.” ... “Chapter on the saying of God Almighty, “And We set just scales, and that the deeds of the sons of Adam and their words are weighed.... Two words beloved to the Most Merciful, light on the tongue, heavy in the scale: Glory be to God and praise be to Him, Glory be to God the Great.” The end of the thirtieth part of Sahih Al-Bukhari.
