Notes	After he finished the part, he wrote: “A book containing the story of Fadlun al-Abid” and wrote three pages in it. The poetic verses were written in red, and his saying: (He said) and the modernization tools that are at the beginning of the hadiths were drawn in red. \| Date of death of the copyist: alive in the year 866 AH. \| The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.
Sample Text	In the name of God... (Chapter on bearing witness in endowments) and charity. Ibrahim bin Musa told us, he said, Hisham bin Yusuf told us, that Ibn Jurayj told them, he said, Ya’la told me that he heard Ikrimah, the client of Ibn Abbas, saying, Ibn Abbas told us that Saad bin Ubadah... the brother of Banu Sa’idah, his mother died while he was absent, so he came to the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and said, O Messenger of God, my mother died while I was absent from her. Will anything benefit her if I give it in charity on her behalf? He said: “Yes.” He said: I bear witness to you that my wealth of sheep is a charity on it... ... (Chapter) Yahya bin Bukair told us, he said, Al-Layth told us, on the authority of Yunus, on the authority of Ibn Shihab, on the authority of Saeed bin Al-Musayyab and Abu Salamah, that Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying: “An ant pinched a prophet from among the prophets, so he ordered the village of ants to be burned, so God revealed to him: If an ant pinched you, you burned a nation of nations swimming in praise. The end of the twelfth part of the book Al-Jami’ Al-Sahih... It is recited in the beginning of the thirteenth part of it (Chapter on burning trees and palm trees)... Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds.
