Notes	Before starting the material of the book, there is an explanation of the symbols drawn on the margins of the copy and its narration of the differences in copying between the scholars from whom the authentic hadith was transmitted, as well as its proof of the chain of transmission through the paths of those from whom it was transmitted and recorded. The copyist initially transmitted it from Imam Ali bin Muhammad bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Boutubi. \| The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH. \| “From the beginning of the Sahih to the end of the chapter on the virtue of Aisha, may God be pleased with her.”

I heard the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, say, “Actions are but by intentions, but for every person is what he intended... ... Chapter on the virtue of Aisha, may God be pleased with her. Yahya bin Bukair told us... that Aisha, may God be pleased with her, said, One day the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, ‘O Aisha, this is Gabriel greeting you, so I said peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon him...
