On the title page is a plaque decorated with gold, inside which are written the title and the name of the author, Imam al-Bukhari, in gold, as well as the titles of the chapters. At the end of it is a gilded plate.# After the copy was finished on folio 319, the copyist went, and perhaps he was the one who collected the paper, to the prayer book, proceeding from before the chapter on the time of Maghrib and to the chapter on the takbeer and washing in the morning. Despite this, the compiler of papers in this volume established the order straight, as if he did not notice the entire book on page 319 and that the following part is in the Sahih. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

وقف فخرُ الأمراءِ العظامِ، الأميرُ محمَّدٌ أغا أفندي سليم حفِظَه اللهُ تعالى، وجعله موقفًا للخيراتِ، «صحيح البُخاريِّ» على طلبةِ العلمِ بالمقامِ الأحمديِّ عمَّتْ بركاتُه، وجعَلَ مقرَّه بخزانتِه المالكيَّةِ، تحتَ يدِ العمدةِ الشيخِ الفقيرِ أحمدَ الديجمونيِّ، لَا يُباعُ ولَا يُوهَبُ، {فَمَنْ بَدَّلَهُ بَعْدَ مَا سَمِعَهُ فَإِنَّمَا إِثْمُهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يُبَدِّلُونَهُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ}، وصلَّى اللهُ على سيدِنا محمَّدٍ، وعلى آلِه وصحبِه وسلَّمَ
