There was a difference in determining the date of the author’s death, as Al-Zirakli and others stated that the date of his death was the year 695 AH, while he said, as a case in the Dictionary of Authors 6/57, that the date of his death was the year 675 AH. The matter requires more attention and research to determine the death of a great author such as Ibn Abi Jamrah, but what came to confirm that the date of the Dictionary of Authors is incorrect is that there is another copy of this book and the last of it states that the author finished writing it in the year 693 AH, and this is what confirms that the date Al-Zirakli is correct, and that the history of the authors’ dictionary is just an illusion from which no human being has been spared, and most of them do not forget. - It has comments. | Date of death of the copyist: 1167 AH. | The date of completion of copying from the Al-Azhar Library’s copy was confirmed by the number (general number: (447); special number: (914)).

Ibn Abi Jamrah said: Praise be to God who has opened the darkness of the ignorance of the hearts. Now, since what is included in what we have entrusted is the program of the book which we called the plural of end... I decided to make every hadith... the position of a chapter... and everything that does not lead to goodness except through it, as the scholars say, “that which does not lead to the duty except through it is obligatory.” The entire collection has been completed.
