At the beginning of the copy, in the margin of the first sheet, he wrote in red the text: “Part thirteen of Sahih al-Bukhari from the thirty parts.” | Date of the copyist’s death: (He was alive in Jumada al-Awwal in the year 1168 AH) | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.
