He wrote at the beginning of it: “Who wrote the box of Bulaq Press for free and added on January 6, 1895 A.D. | Imam al-Bukhari’s last dictation of his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in Farbar in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of its composition, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.
