A good copy, corresponding to many copies, contains parts of the fragmentation of the original, starting from “Part Fifty-Five” until Part Sixtieth, and with it the book was completed. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. (Chapter on stoning in the prayer place) Mahmoud told us, he said, Abdul Razzaq told us... on the authority of Jabir that a man who converted to Islam came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and confessed to adultery. ... الحَمدُ للهِ ربِّ العالَمينَ، وصلَّى اللهُ عَلى سيِّدِنا محمَّدٍ وعَلى آلِه وصحْبِه وسلَّم، انْتقَلَ هذا الكِتابُ صَحيحُ البُخاريّ رحمه الله تعالى وهُو عشَرةُ أجْزاءٍ، في ثامِنِ شهْرِ رمَضانَ المُعظَّمِ قدْرُه سنةَ خمسٍ وعشْرينَ وتسْعمائةٍ، أحْسنَ اللهُ عاقِبَتي فيها، للعبدِ الفَقير نور الدّين بْن قاسِم بْن خَليل عفا الله عنهُما.

الحمد لله وسلام على عباده الذين اصطفى أما بعد؛ فقد قرأ عليَّ هذا المجلد وما قبله من أول صحيح البخاري إلى آخره صاحبه الشيخ الصالح الخطيب علاء الدين علي بن الشيخ المرحوم جمال الدين يوسف بن عثمان في مجالس آخرها يوم السبت رابع صفر الخير سنة إحدى وستين وثمان مائة وقد أجزت له أن يروي ذلك عني وأن يروي عني جميع ما تجوز لي روايته وكتب العبد الفقير إلى الله تعالى والحمد لله رب العالمين وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد خاتم النبين والمرسلين وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين. أحمد بن محمد بن أحمد بن أبي بكر بن زيد وفيه مقدم ومؤخر.
