Notes The copy is a fragment of Sahih Al-Bukhari from the beginning until the end of the Book of Funerals. It is incomplete in the end. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.
Sample Text Imam Al-Hafiz Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Ismail bin Ibrahim Al-Bukhari said: Chapter on how the revelation to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the saying of God Almighty: “Indeed, we revealed to you just as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him.” Al-Humaydi narrated to us: Sufyan narrated to us... He said, “I heard the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, say, ‘Actions are but by intentions, and every man wins what he intended...’” Chapter: Mentioning the worst of the dead. Omar bin Hafs narrated to us: “My father narrated to us.” Al-Amash told us, Amr bin Murra told me, on the authority of Saeed bin Jubair, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both, he said: Abu Lahab, upon whom be the curse of God, said to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, “May you be cursed for the rest of the day.” Then Abu Lahab’s hand came down, may God’s curse be upon him...
