Notes In the author’s handwriting at the end of the copy of the Holy Mosque, which is numbered (1141), it is stated that the date of the composition is: (The oath of its author and ruler was empty, to the mercy of his rich Lord, Abu Muhammad Mahmoud bin Ahmad Al-Aini, who composed and underlined this part. The twenty-first from Umdat Al-Qari in Al-Bukhari’s explanation, with which the explanation was completed, with the grace, help, kindness, and generosity of God, at the end of the first third of the night of Saturday, the fifth of the month of Jumada Al-Awwal, in the year forty-seven. Eight hundred years after the Prophet’s migration, and I began writing it at the end of the month of Rajab al-Asab in the year eight hundred and twenty, and I finished the first part on Monday the sixteenth of the holy month of Dhul-Hijjah in the year eight hundred and twenty, and I finished the second part on Tuesday the seventh of the month of Jumada al-Akhira in the year eight hundred and twenty-one, and I finished the third part on Friday the eighth of Jumada al-Awwal in the year eight hundred and thirty-three, after I had stayed in it for half a year, and there was an absence between the second. The third was sixteen years or more, and I finished the fourth on Tuesday, the ninth of Rabi’ al-Akhir in the year eight hundred and thirty-nine. Then I continued writing and composing until the aforementioned date of the twenty-first, and the period of my time in writing was ten years, with many days interspersed within it. Sample Text That is, this is a book explaining the rulings on sacrifices, the rulings on hunting, and explaining the naming of the dog when sending the dog on the hunt, and this is how it occurred in the narration of Al-Asili, Karima, and Abu Dharr in one narration, and in another narration of his and the father of time, a chapter instead of a book, and it fell for the Nasafi originally, and the sacrifices are the plural of “sacrifice” meaning the slaughtered, his saying, and the naming of the dog for hunting, that is, in explaining the obligation of saying the name on the hunt... Al-Bukhari concluded his book with glorification and praise, as he began the beginning with the hadith of intention, in accordance with it, and Abu Zar’ah’s name is Haram, and its men passed.
