At the beginning of the copy is an index of contents.#The text is written in black, while the titles and some important words are written in red. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

The book of jihad. Chapter on jihad and walking... Al-Hasan bin Sabbah told us... Abdullah bin Masoud, may God be pleased with him, said: I asked the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. I said, O Messenger of God, which deed is best? He said, praying at its appointed time... ...Chapter If a fly falls into a vessel... Because the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: If a fly falls into a vessel of one of you, let him dip it all in and then throw it away, for on one of its wings is a cure and the other is a disease.
