In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful... The book of temptations in a generous narration, and the original is delaying the basmalah... ... Chapter on the saying of God Almighty {And We set up just scales for the Day of Resurrection}... On the authority of Aisha, who said, when the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, sat in a gathering or prayed, he would speak words. So I asked him about that, and he said that if he spoke a good word, it would be a seal on it, meaning a seal on it until the Day of Resurrection, and if he spoke otherwise, it would be an expiation for him. Glory be to You, O God, and with Your praise, there is no god but You. I seek your forgiveness and repent to you, and God knows best, the end of the book. Praise be to God alone.

- ذكر في نهاية نسخته أنه انتهى من تأليف الكتاب في أول يوم من رجب الفرد سنة اثنتين وأربعين وثمانمائة. سوى ما ألحقه في هذه الكراس في ثاني عشر رجب من نفس السنة، أما المقدمة فقد جمعها سنة ثلاث عشرة وبدأ في الشرح في أوائل سنة سبع عشرة.
