It began and ended with a truncated continuation in the part that preceded it and the part that follows it | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

Abdul Aziz narrated to us on the authority of Anas, he said, when it was the day of Uhud, the people were defeated by the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and Abu Talha was in the hands of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, being answered with a punishment for him... ...Chapter on the hadith of Ka’b ibn Malik.. So I went in the morning after they had prayed to prepare, so I returned and did not fulfill anything, then I went out in the morning and then came back and did not fulfill anything.
