Praise be to God for the blessings that have prevailed... As for what follows, in this dictation I intended to clarify what occurred in the Sahih of Imam Al-Bukhari... selecting from the most correct sayings... and that is what I saw emerging in this era... and perhaps they do not agree with the truth of the wording let alone its meaning... and I called it the revision of the words of the Sahih Al-Jami’... Chapter: How was the beginning of the revelation to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace... ...and its conclusion with the hadith of Two Heavy Things in the Balance, which states that deeds are weighed. The occasion was evident from what it contained, as it appeared in its opening with the hadith of intention, as if he was reminding himself that the work of the son of Adam is to be weighed, whether in word or deed, and his book which he compiled is among the totality of his work... and that it will benefit its writer, reader, and those who return to it when there is a problem, with His benevolence and generosity, there is no Lord other than Him and no one to be worshiped except Him... and praise be to God alone.
