The physical condition of the manuscript is good. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

After the basmala and the praise: Chapter: How was the beginning of the revelation to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the saying of God Almighty: [Indeed, We have revealed to you just as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him] Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Ismail Al-Bukhari told us, Al-Humaidi told us, on the authority of Sufyan, he said, Yahya bin Saeed Al-Ansari told us, he said Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al-Tamimi told me, that he heard Alqamah bin Waqqas Al-Laythi saying, “I heard Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, on the pulpit... Incomplete, and the last of what is available from it: Until we overlooked the city and he said, “This is good.” Al-Musayyab, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, said that he used to say, “If I saw the gazelles in Medina feeding, I would not frighten them.” The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Whatever is between the two daughters is forbidden.”
