Sample Text The Book of Jihad and Biography Jihad is the language of effort and hardship, and it is the source of striving against the enemy whenever I meet him. I strive against a man to the extent of his hardship. Likewise, jihad for the sake of God is the exertion of effort in one’s own deeds and the alternative to them is in obedience to God... ...Chapter on Salman Al-Farsi’s conversion to Islam. His conversion to Islam was in the first year of the Hijra and the first scene he witnessed with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was the trench. What prevented him from attending what was before that was that he was a slave to a group of Jews, so they wrote him down... a period between which he died.
