The author of the book, Maher Taher Ismail Al-Barzanji, said about the time of writing the book: None of the authors of biographies and classes mentioned the time in which Ibn Malik wrote his book Mubariq al-Azhar, but he wrote it in the eighth century, and perhaps he wrote it before the middle of it, and God knows best.

Praise be to God for the gift of guidance and Islam and the gift of knowledge and information, especially with the explanation of the hadith of the Best of Humans... And then the weak one says... known as Ibn Malik... When he explained the aspects of the article and the correct consideration of the outcome, knowledge came to be the highest beacon and reachable... And among what was written in it... The Book of Mashariq Al-Anwar... and it had explanations... so I began to manage within myself... to explain it in a way that tells about hidden things... and I called it Mubaariq Al-Azhar in Sharh Al-Mashariq Al-Anwar... ...M Umm Habiba May God be pleased with Muslim’s narration on her authority, and she is Ramla bint Abi Sufyan, the Mother of the Believers. It is said that what she narrated on the authority of the Prophet (peace be upon him) has thirty-five hadiths, and she has four hadiths in the two Sahihs, of which two hadiths are agreed upon. Whoever prays twelve prostrations on the day of which he intends one rak’ah is permissible, the abstinence from her narrations is limited to this amount, but Muslim added in his Sahih after saying four prostrations before noon... God will build a house for him in Paradise.
