Date of death of the copyist: (000 - District 1117 AH = 000 - District 1705 AD). | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH. | “Chapter on his saying: {A disavowal from God and His Messenger to those with whom you have made a treaty of the polytheists} to the chapter on women and children going to the wedding.”
