Praise be to God who must exist...and after; The most honorable science is knowledge of the Book of God and the Sunnah of His Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace. Because the honor of the sciences is in the honor of the one who came from it... And since the science of hadith is one of the most honorable sciences, and I saw that people turned away from it... I compiled this book of mine and deleted the chains of transmission from it... and I called it the combination of the two Sahihs, omitting the chain of transmission and the repeated ones from the clear ones... and I arranged it according to the letters of the dictionary so that it would be easily accessible... ...and in a narration they were taken by Al-‘Ansi, who was killed by Fayrouz in Yemen, and the other by Musaylimah. The book was completed, thank God, for completion
