Another incomplete copy. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

So we carried him on a camel, or as Masaan said, very long above the long one, the chapter on gifts to the polytheists, and the words of God Almighty: {God does not forbid you from treating them kindly and being just with those who have not fought you on account of religion, nor expelled you from your homes. Indeed, God loves those who are just.} ... Chapter on the virtues of Abdullah bin Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with them... So I saw in a dream as if two angels took me and took me to the fire, and lo and behold it was folded like the folds of a well, and behold, it had two horns.
