“Chapter on what was mentioned in the names of the Prophet” and in some copies of the names of the Messenger of God “may God bless him and grant him peace” and the saying of God Almighty” with the genitive case in conjunction with his saying what was stated “Muhammad is the Messenger of God and those who believe with him are hard against the disbelievers” ... ...Chapter on building the Kaaba, that is, by the hands of the Quraysh... “Sufyan said and they say it is raining by means of rain,” which is the plural of “al-nawa” and it is the position of the moon. They used to say by such-and-such light... Conclusion: It included hadiths about virtues and related mentions of them. The hadiths that occurred before Al-Ma’bd are marfo’, amounting to two hundred and thirty hadiths... The reason for this is that many of them are deemed to be suspended, even though they may be subject to the ruling of marfo’. In most cases, a Muslim is keen on grading clear hadiths about raising the hadiths, and there are seventeen narrations in them from the Companions and those after them, and God is the Grantor of success, there has been an end to the retouching of this sixteenth piece.

- جاء في أعلى صفحة المقدمة ما نصه: «قد بدأ في هذه القطعة السادسة عشر من شرح البخاري ليلة الخميس الخامس من شهر رجب المنسلك في عقد شهور السنة الرابعة والأربعين بعد المائة والألف».
- جاء في نهايتها ما نصه: «وقع الفراغ من تنميق هذه القطعة السادسة عشر من شرح صحيح الإمام البخاري ... في سلخ شهر رجب المرجب المظفر المنتظم في سلك شهور السنة الخامسة والأربعين بعد المائة والألف».
