Praise be to God, whose blessings are innumerable, and whose generosity is endless... But after that... when time extended, and it was feared that the correct and the incorrect would mix... and this continued until the time of the two Imams... Al-Bukhari and Abu Al-Hussein Muslim bin Al-Hajjaj... they devoted themselves to diligence in this, and exhausted the effort in it... and when that settled and spread... I wanted to hasten the benefit for myself... stripping out what was in these two books from the texts of the news and the texts of the narrations... and summarizing that in one book, while collecting the various parts and memorizing their biographies... And we arranged them into five ranks... And this is when we begin what we intended to do by combining the two Sahihs, according to the aforementioned ranks. The first of that is what is in them from the Musnad of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, may God be pleased with him... ...Farad Muslim... (Forty-nine) on the authority of Abu Hamza Imran bin Abi Ata’ on the authority of Ibn Abbas, who said: I was difficult with boys... so make it an atonement for him and an act of sacrifice that will bring him closer to you on the Day of Resurrection. The latest news from Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with him, in the Two Sahihs, the first volume has been completed.
