The text of the endowment was repeated in shortened forms in the copy, including what was mentioned in the endowment seal. #The text at the end, which refers to the last copy of Al-Qastalani, indicates that it was transferred from a reliable, corrected copy. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

وقَفَ وتصَدَّقَ وسبَّلَ للهِ سبحانه وتعالى حضرةِ سيدي خليل أغا لالة المرحوم محمَّد سعيد باشا، وقفًا صحيحًا شرعيًّا لَا يُباعُ ولَا يشرى ولا يُرهَنُ ولَا يُوهَبُ ولَا يُورَثُ، {فَمَنْ بَدَّلَهُ بَعْدَ مَا سَمِعَهُ فَإِنَّمَا إِثْمُهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يُبَدِّلُونَهُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ} وجعَلَ هذا الوقفَ الشَّريفَ للأجزاءِ الاثنينِ من «صحيحِ الإمامِ البُخاريِّ» من بعد حياةِ عينه إلى مسجدِ سيدي أحمدَ البدويِّ لأجلِ أن ينتفِعَ به طلبةُ العلمِ بالمسجدِ المذكورِ، تحريرًا في 7 جماد الآخر سنةَ 1283 هـ
