The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

Chapter on stoning in prayer: Narrated to us: Mahmoud said: Abdul Razzaq told us.. on the authority of Jabir that a man from Islam came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and confessed to adultery, but the Prophet turned away from it... until he testified against himself four times... Chapter on the saying of God Almighty, “And we set up just scales for the Day of Resurrection... Two words beloved to the Most Merciful, light on the tongue, heavy in the scale. Glory be to God and praise be to Him, Glory be to God the Great.
