They said, “God has taken the Messenger of God and appointed Abu Bakr as his successor, and the people are righteous.” Dhul-Kala’ and Dhul-Amr said, “Tell your friend Abu Bakr, may God be pleased with him. We have come, and perhaps we will return to him, God Almighty willing.” ... Al-Nadr said, “I was with Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both, and they were asking him, ‘Which.’” The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, only answered them by mentioning the evidence from the Sunnah until he was asked what he mentioned. A torment he deserves and then he will be saved.
