Date of death of the copyist: (978 AH) | The date of completion of the book's writing was confirmed from the Library of the Chief Writer, No. (194); It was stated in it: “The author, may God Almighty have mercy on him, said that his collection, Ahmad bin Ali, was completed... on the first day of Rajab Al-Farad in the year one hundred and eight forty-two, except for what he added to this booklet on the twelfth of Rajab of that year. He collected the introduction in the year thirteen and began explaining it in the beginning of the year seventeen, and praise be to God.”

Praise be to God, who explained the hearts of the people of Islam with guidance... Now it is time to begin what I intended to explain Al-Jami’ Al-Sahih, as I promised at the beginning of the introduction, and I was determined to present the hadith of the chapter with its wording before explaining it, then I saw that the book is very long... and I called it Fath Al-Bari with Al-Bukhari’s explanation... In conclusion, the chapters on the prayer of fear included six marfoo’ hadiths... The first part of Fath Al-Bari was completed with Al-Bukhari’s explanation... followed in the second by the book of the two Eids.
