The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

In the name of God... Chapter: It is not from us to beat the cheeks. Muhammad bin Bashar narrated to us... on the authority of Abdullah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, he said: It is not from us to beat the cheeks... ... Chapter on washing one’s clothes three times... When he ordered him to wash three times, he said yes, at the end of Part Six.
