Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

The Imam Al-Hafiz Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Ismail Al-Bukhari said, Chapter: How was the beginning of the revelation to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the saying of God, Blessed and Most High, “Indeed, we have revealed to you just as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him.” Al-Humaidi told us, Sufyan told us, he said, Yahya bin Saeed Al-Ansari told us, he said, Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al-Taymi told me, that he heard Alqamah bin Waqqas Al-Laythi saying, “I heard Omar bin Al-Khattab say on the pulpit... saying, ‘Actions are based on intentions. Every person has what he intended, so whoever emigrated to him for a worldly gain, or for a woman to marry, then his migration is for what he emigrated to... ...Chapter on God’s saying (And We set fair scales)...
