He collected the introduction in the year thirteen and began explaining it in the beginning of the year seventeen, and praise be to God.”

The opening of the manuscript: Praise be to Him who explained the origins of the people of Islam with guidance... Now it is time to begin what I intended from explaining Al-Jami’ Al-Sahih, as I promised at the beginning of the introduction... I called it Fath Al-Bari with Al-Bukhari’s explanation, and I decided to begin the explanation with chains of transmission to the original by hearing or by authorization. ... Conclusion of the manuscript: Chapter on spending time with family and guests ... Conclusion The Book of Timings included one hundred hadiths ... and the hadith of Muawiyah (may God be pleased with him) in the two rak’ahs after the afternoon prayer ... And God Almighty knows best what is correct. The first part of Fath al-Bari was completed with the explanation of Al-Bukhari, written by ... Al-Asqalani Al-Shafi’i ... It is followed in the second part ... The first chapter on the call to prayer.
