The author of the book, Maher Taher Ismail Al-Barzanji, said about the time of writing the book: None of the authors of biographies and classes mentioned the time in which Ibn Malik wrote his book Mubariq al-Azhar, but he wrote it in the eighth century, and perhaps he wrote it before the middle of it, and God knows best.

Praise be to God for the gift of guidance and Islam and the gift of knowledge and information, especially from explaining the Hadith of the Best of Humans... And then the weak one says... known as Ibn Malik... The highest level of knowledge is a luminary and a reach... And from what was written in it... The Book of Mashariq Al-Anwar... and it had explanations... So I kept repeating to myself... to explain it in an explanation that tells about hidden things... and I called it Mubaariq Al-Azhar in Sharh Mashariq Al-Anwar... ... Al-Nawawi said this is weak because polytheism came in the Sunan of Abi Dawud. On the authority of Ibn Masoud, he said: The Messenger of God taught us his sermon, and he said in his sermon: Whoever obeys God and His Messenger is guided, and whoever disobeys them will only harm himself, and it is better to say that his sermon is that.
