Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

...This, then he said: Whoever performs ablution like this ablution of mine, then prays two rak’ahs in which nothing happens to himself, except that his previous sins will be forgiven. Chapter on the saying of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace: If he performs ablution, let him inhale water with his nostril... ...Chapter on hastening the breaking of the fast... Ahmad ibn Yusuf narrated to us, he said, Abu Bakr narrated to us, on the authority of Sulaiman, on the authority of Ibn Abi Awfa, he said, I was with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace...
