The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

Chapter: How was the beginning of the revelation to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the saying of God, glory be to Him, “Indeed, We have revealed to you just as”... The Prophet’s feet, may God bless him and grant him peace, occurred while she was menstruating, while he was in seclusion in the mosque, and she was in her room, giving her his head.
