Muhammad bin Ismail al-Bukhari, Sheikh of Islam and Imam of Hafiz, Commander of the Faithful in Hadith. He was born in Shawwal in the year one hundred and ninety-four (194) and his death in the year two hundred and fifty-six (256) AH. His book became famous among scholars as “Sahih al-Bukhari.” #- A very fine copy in its handwriting, organization, control and quality. | Date of death of the copyist: 840 AH. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

The opening of the manuscript: This is a message to the people. In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. My Lord has granted success to its completion. Chapter: How was the beginning of the revelation to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace... ... The conclusion of the manuscript: ... Two beloved words to the Most Merciful, light on the tongue, heavy in the scale: Glory be to God and praise be to Him, Glory be to God the Great.
