The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

Chapter {Indeed, Qarun was one of the people of Moses..} The verse. To swell to become heavy. Ibn Abbas said: Those with power cannot be lifted by a group. ... Chapter on the saying of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, “If I had taken a friend, I would have taken Abu Bakr as a friend.” So he put his cloak around his neck and choked him severely. Then Abu Bakr came until he pushed him away from him and said, “Will you kill a man because he says, ‘My Lord is God,’ and he has brought you clear proofs from your Lord?” He completed the fourteenth part of Sahih Al-Bukhari, may God have mercy on him, and he recites it at the beginning of the fifteenth part of it, the virtues of Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him. Praise be to God alone
