At the beginning there is an index with its contents of books, but it has two additional books: The Book of Eclipses at the beginning of the index and the chapter on the virtues of Laylat al-Qadr at the end of the index. | Date of death of the copyist: 863 AH. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.
