The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH. | “From the beginning of the Sahih to the door of the person in seclusion, his head enters the house for washing.”

Chapter: How was the beginning of the revelation to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the saying of God Almighty, “Indeed, I have revealed to you just as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him... Al-Humaidi told us... I heard Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, on the pulpit, saying, I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying, ‘Actions are but by intentions, but for each person is what he intended...’ Chapter on the person in seclusion entering his head into the house to wash. Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Hisham told us... on the authority of Aisha that she used to dismount the Prophet. May God’s prayers and peace be upon him, while she was menstruating, while he was in seclusion in the mosque, and she was in her room, and he handed her his head, the first part of Sahih al-Bukhari, followed by the second part of the book of sales.
